Arrival at the Hospital: Arrive 15-30 minutes early to complete any registration or paperwork. Ensure you carry identification, medical records, and the doctor’s prescription for the test.
During the Test: A small blood sample is drawn from the child’s vein. The procedure is quick, and a pediatric phlebotomist ensures it is as comfortable as possible.
Post-Test Care: After the test, apply slight pressure to the site to prevent bruising. Encourage the child to rest and hydrate well.
